Instructions:
Proof the Yeast
*Follow instructions on the package if its instant yeast.
In a large mixing bowl add:
1/2 cup warm water
1/2 package or 1 1/4 tsp of yeast
Add add 1/2 tsp of maple sugar (or refined sugar) to the yeast and water.
Let stand for 10 min (or until foam and bubbling appear on the surface)
Add salt to the flour then blend the mixture into the water gradually until all the liquid is absorbed.
Kneed for about 2 min. then form into a ball.
Tip: When the mixture doesn’t stick to your hands or to the sides of the bowl it’s ready.
Cover with a clean dish towel and let rise for 2 hours.
Tip: After 2 hours, cover the bowl and refrigerator over night for slow continued rise.
Flatten and gently press the dough into a 13’ round pizza pan.
Add sauce, cheese and your favourite toppings.
Preheat to 475℉ and lightly grease pan
Bake for 7-10 min or when the crust starts to brown at the edges.
Slice, serve and enjoy!
